Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez’s two-year marriage has come to an end.
Or should we call them Hal Maria and Oliver Martin?
The Oscar winner, using those aliases in court documents, filed her divorce petition on Monday citing irreconcilable differences. Martinez filed a similar petition on Tuesday using their real names, according to documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times.
The French actor, represented by so-called dissolution queen Laura Wasser, listed their date of separation as Oct. 26 and is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their 2-year-old son, Maceo. Berry’s petition listed him as Mac Martin.
The “Extant” star’s filing said she was not specifically seeking joint or primary custody of their son but rather what is in “the best interests of the child,” according to court documents, and would agree to visitation for Martinez. She also mentioned that they have a pre-nuptial agreement.
Martinez also listed his separate property as “miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects,” “earnings and accumulations ... after the date of separation,” and “additional separate property assets and obligations of the parties, the exact nature and extent of which are not presently known.” They will need to sort out their community and quasi-community property.

It’s the third divorce and fourth high-profile split for Berry, who was previously wed to baseball player David Justice and musician Eric Benet. She also shares a daughter, Nahla, with French model Gabriel Aubrey, with whom she split in 2010.
The “X-Men” actress, 49, met Martinez, also 49, while filming the adventure drama “Dark Tide” in mid-2010, shortly after breaking up with Aubry. She and Martinez went public as a couple in October of that year.
The two announced their engagement in March 2012, soon after Martinez proposed with an emerald engagement ring. They wed in France on July 13, 2013, just a few months after confirming the surprising news that they were expecting a baby. They welcomed Maceo the following October.
TMZ was first to report the that the actress had already filed her divorce petition before either petition was made available to the public. The Superior Court confirmed the Monday filing to the Los Angeles Times late Tuesday. It also alleged that Berry did not properly serve the documents to Martinez via a third party, instead giving him the documents herself.
Other sources told the site that they squabbled over “a personality difference” and their problems peaked last week when Martinez was sued for allegedly hitting an LAX employee with a car seat during a scuffle in January. Martinez has been in several fights before, most notably with Aubry over Thanksgiving in 2012.
A rep for Berry did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for comment.
