Here’s the full list of 2021 Emmy winners
Favorites “The Crown,” “Ted Lasso” and “Mare of Easttown” did not disappoint at the 2021 Emmy Awards, winning multiple awards each, including top drama and comedy, respectively. The nominations seemed to reflect what TV critic Lorraine Ali called “the central TV-watching habit of the last year: the turn to comforting shows.” The 73rd edition of the Television Academy’s top honors is being hosted by Cedric the Entertainer on CBS, and you can see what our Emmy-watching duo of Meredith Blake and Glenn Whipp thought about the show while watching here.
Other shows that took home multiple awards include “The Queen’s Gambit” — winning in a hotly-contested final category — “Hacks” and “Saturday Night Live.” Michaela Coel’s win for “I May Destroy You” was a validation for what many considered a snub at the Golden Globes, and RuPaul made history (or herstory) for a Black Emmy award winner.
