Los Angeles basketball product Jordan Farmar has sold his home in the Las Vegas metro area for $3.45 million.

The LEED Platinum-certified three-story home, built this year, is amped up with energy-saving features. Among them are installed solar panels, intelligent fireplaces and a weather-sensitive irrigation system. Sustainable building materials also feature prominently in the 6,185-square-foot design.

Surrounded by city light and mountain views, the home is decked out with polished finishes, walls of floor-to-ceiling glass and a master suite with a wall fireplace. A turf play area, an outdoor TV lounge and an upper-level viewing deck with a billiards table and a fire pit extend the living space outdoors.

In all, there are five bedrooms and five bathrooms. An elevator runs between each floor, including the subterranean garage.

Outdoors, desert grounds center on an infinity-edge swimming pool and spa. An outdoor kitchen, a lounge and an oversized fire feature complete the setting.

Farmar bought the property in May for $3.29 million and listed it for sale in July for $3.875 million, records show.

Ivan Sher and Gretchen McNamee of Shapiro & Sher Group, an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties, were the listing agents. Kimberly Barr of SER Realty LLC represented the buyer.

Farmar, 30, caught on with the Sacramento Kings earlier this year but was released earlier this month. The former UCLA point guard has also played for the Lakers, Nets, Clippers and Grizzlies across 10 professional seasons.
