NBA’s Arron Afflalo puts his Ladera Heights home on the block
As the NBA trade deadline approaches, Orlando Magic shooting guard Arron Afflalo is ready to make a deal of his own. He’s put his home in the Ladera Heights neighborhood on the market for $2.295 million.
Formerly owned by WNBA great Lisa Leslie, the corner-lot contemporary has been extensively remodeled and updated. Features of the multilevel house include hardwood floors, open-plan space and a center-island chef’s kitchen. Walls of windows, skylights and clerestories bathe the interior in natural light.
Some 5,400 square feet of living space includes a sunken living room, a family room, a den, and breakfast and dining areas. There are two master suites for a total of four bedrooms and five bathrooms. A second-floor balcony takes in city-light views.
Outdoors, steps lead from patio areas to a fenced swimming pool with a baja deck and circular spa. Elsewhere is a two-car garage.
Afflalo, a Los Angeles native, led Centennial High School to a state title in 2004 and was a Pac-10 Player of the Year (2007) with the UCLA Bruins basketball program. Now in his 11th NBA season, the 32-year-old has career averages of 10.9 points and 2.9 rebounds.
Marina Steele of Nelson Shelton Real Estate ERA Powered holds the listing, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
