Former White House staffer looks to sell his Malibu estate with celebrity pedigree
William Lynch, a former White House staffer who served under four presidents, has put his oceanfront home in Malibu on the market for $7.995 million.
In addition to its 55 feet of beach frontage, the property also sports a celebrity-filled ownership history. The house was originally built in 1993 for Alex Karras, the late NFL lineman, wrestler and actor who starred in the ABC sitcom “Webster.” Prior to that, the roughly quarter-acre lot held a home previously owned by Olivia Newton-John.
Tile floors are a common theme throughout the 5,049 floor plan, and custom windows provide panoramic ocean views in the living room, family room, formal dining room and chef’s kitchen.
The views continue in the master suite, which also holds a spa bath and a den with a fireplace. The home is completed by an office with wood finishes, three bedrooms and a guest suite with its own entrance.
Ocean-facing decking and patios — including a 3,000-square-foot rooftop terrace with a built-in barbecue — create additional living space outdoors.
Sally Forster Jones and Shauna Walters of Pacific Union International hold the listing.
