Bling alert: Tiffany opens its first at-sea jewelry store on Oasis of the Seas
Now you can have breakfast at Tiffany’s without going to New York. Famed Fifth Avenue jeweler Tiffany & Co. recently opened a boutique aboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas cruise ship.
The store is in Oasis’ version of Central Park, which is dotted with live trees and plants and constitutes a neighborhood in the entertainment area of the ship.
Tiffany’s will be selling a “full selection” of jewelry, including engagement rings and items from its T and Atlas collections, Royal Caribbean says in a statement. The shop will be run by the cruise ship line. Next year, Oasis of the Seas will start sailing to the Caribbean from Port Canaveral near Orlando, Fla.
It’s not the first time Royal Caribbean has partnered with a big bling company. Quantum of the Seas, which launched last November, features Bulgari and Cartier jewelry stores.
One word of caution: Before you go wild at the new Tiffany’s, check out your duty-free allowances at U.S. Customs and Boarder Protection before you come home.
