What can you see on a week’s bike tour? California’s wine country, coast and redwoods too
Pedal your way through Napa and Sonoma counties, visiting vineyards, redwood groves and the Northern California coast during a weeklong wine country bike tour with Backroads.
Participants will visit tasting rooms throughout the region, also stopping in towns such as Sonoma, Sebastopol, Geyserville, Healdsburg and Bodega Bay.
The trip is flexible to accommodate different riding levels. Beginners can take easier routes, while advanced riders tackle more miles and spots such as the Oakville Grade, a notoriously steep climb in Napa County.
There will be time for shopping, visiting spas and exploring local towns too.
Dates: Twenty-six weeklong tours are available from June through November.
Price: Rates from $3,198 to $3,598 per person, double occupancy. Included are lodging, meals, bikes, van transportation and trip fees. Transportation to the Napa-Sonoma area is not included.
