If you like biking, but you don’t like riding in traffic, Bicycle Adventures’ new Mountains to Sound bicycle tour in Washington state might be for you.

The five-day rails-to-trails tour uses former railway roadbeds on a route that follows part of the John Wayne Pioneer Trail.

Riders average 25 miles a day, exploring the historic mining region of the Cascade Range, Snoqualmie Falls, wine country and Seattle’s waterfront.

The trip is designed to appeal to riders who seek an easy ride or who want to avoid pedaling amid traffic. Bicycle Adventures also offers a family-oriented Mountains to Sound tour on July 25.

Dates: July 11 and Aug. 8

Price: $2,760 per person. Includes airport transfers, bike rental, all meals except one dinner and activities (kayaking and wine tasting or a distillery tour).
