Would LeBron James make your NBA Mt. Rushmore? [Poll]
After LeBron James hit a game-winning shot Wednesday to lead his Miami Heat past the Golden State Warriors, Warriors guard Mark Jackson was effusive in his praise of James, saying he will go down as one of the greatest ever.
Earlier in the week, James commented that if they ever make a Mt. Rushmore for the NBA, he would be on it.
James put Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson on there, and when asked if he would be there when his career is over, he told NBA TV’s Steve Smith, “Yeah. Because I’m going to be one of the top four who’s ever played this game. For sure. If they don’t want me to have one of those top four spots, they better find another spot on there. Somebody gotta get bumped.”
And who would he remove?
“That’s not for me to decide. That’s for the architects to decide.”
On Wednesday, Jackson said, “Whoever you want to put up there, you might as well start chipping away at his face. The guy in my opinion is the greatest small forward that’s ever played this game. And he will be in the discussion with anybody that’s ever played the game when it’s all said and done. He’s an incredible basketball player, complete basketball player, with no weaknesses and no flaws.”
Who would you put on your NBA Mt. Rushmore? Vote in our poll and let us know, and remember to vote for four people.
