Kobe Bryant climbs to second in the NBA in jersey sales
Despite injuries, Kobe Bryant has the second-most popular selling NBA jersey, according to the league.
Bryant has climbed from third place in October, behind LeBron James of the Miami Heat and Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, to just behind James.
Rose dips to third while Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder finished fourth. Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks rounds out the top five.
Clippers Chris Paul (eighth) and Blake Griffin (10th) also made the list of top sellers.
The NBA calculates jersey popularity based on overall sales from Adidas and NBAStore.com.
Bryant missed the first 19 games of the season, recovering from an Achilles’ injury. After playing six games, he suffered a knee injury that is expected to knock him out for six weeks.
