Construction worker killed by crane in Irvine
A man was killed by a crane on a construction site in Irvine early Tuesday, authorities said.
The construction worker, whose name has not been released, was fatally wounded in the 15000 block of Barranca Parkway, where commercial construction is underway, said Farrah Emami, a spokeswoman for the Irvine Police Department. Police responded to the scene at about 8:30 a.m., she said.
There were no other injuries.
The death remains under investigation, but foul play is not suspected, Emami said.
