Earthquake: 3.5 quake strikes in Bay Area

A shallow magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Monday afternoon 0 miles from San Ramon, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 4:21 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 4.3 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was one mile from Danville, Calif., four miles from Alamo, Calif., six miles from Dublin, Calif. and 60 miles from Sacramento, Calif.

In the past 10 days, there have been four earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
