Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near King City
A shallow magnitude 3 earthquake was reported Friday morning 16 miles from King City, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 3:39 a.m. PDT at a depth of 4.3 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 22 miles from Greenfield, Calif., 27 miles from Coalinga, 29 miles from Soledad and 164 miles from Sacramento.
In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
