How to get a seat at this fancy Sriracha and wine tasting event
If you’re a Sriracha fan (and who isn’t?), you may have already attempted your own Sriracha and wine pairing dinner. Friday night Sriracha-laden tacos with a bottle of red wine sound familiar?
Vintage Enoteca, a wine bar in Hollywood, is paying tribute to the wildly popular chile sauce by hosting an official wine tasting with Sriracha food pairings on Jan. 21.
The three-course tasting will include a shrimp Sriracha ceviche paired with Albariño (Eladio Pineiro, Rías Baixas, Spain, 2014), Sriracha-BBQ pork mac ‘n’ cheese with a Blaufrankisch (Glatzer, Carmuntum, Austria, 2013) and a cookie-cheesecake ice cream parfait with Sriracha candy paired with La Morandina (Moscato d’Asti, Piedmont, Italy, 2013). Each course includes a half glass of wine.
The tasting is $40 per person, without tax or gratuity. If things start to get a little too hot for you, the restaurant’s regular menu will also be available. Reservations are recommended.
