There’s a dumpling and beer festival in the SGV on Thursday. Amazing.

There are more than a few things worth burning your mouth for. Good dumplings are one of them. And the perfect way to cool things down? An ice cold stein of beer, of course.

The city of San Gabriel understands your ongoing love affair with dumplings and beer. That’s why the city has organized its annual dumpling and beer festival, taking place Thursday.

As promised, there will be dumplings — lots and lots of dumplings. Some of the participating dumpling vendors including Fine Garden Vegetarian Restaurant, Kai Kai Dumplings, ShanDong Dumplings and Yummy Ling.

To drink, 16 beers from local breweries, including Angel City Brewery, Tap It Brewing, Hangar 24 Brewery, Golden Road Brewing and Ballast Point Brewing.

You can also bring your significant other — the one who only drinks wine. The Chamber of Commerce will be at the event, selling wine.

And while you eat your dumplings and sip beer, check out a live performance by Moonsville Collective, an American string band.

Admission is free. Beer tasting wristbands are $20 if purchased in advance online, or $25 the day of the event. Dumplings and wine will all be sold by individual vendors.
