2013 TV Upfronts: CBS orders two new dramas and four new comedies

CBS has ordered six new series for the upcoming season, including two dramas and four comedies.

The new dramas are:

“Hostages,” about a family caught in the middle of a grand political conspiracy that will change their lives forever. Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott star in the series produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Warner Bros. Television.

“Intelligence,” centered at U.S. Cyber Command, focusing on a unit that has been created around one agent with a very special gift, a microchip that has been implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. The cast includes Josh Holloway, Marg Helgenberger and Meghan Ory.

The new comedies are:

“We Are Men,” about a young man who finds camaraderie living among the more experienced guys he meets in a short-term rental complex. Chris Smith, Kal Penn, Tony Shalhoub and Jerry O’Connell star.

“Mom,” about a newly sober single mom trying to pull her life togeher in Napa Valley. Anna Faris and Allison Janney star.

“The Millers,” about a recently divorced man whose life becomes more complicated when his parents have their own marital problems. Will Arnett, Margo Martindale, J.B. Smoove and Beau Bridges star.

“Crazy Ones,” a father/daughter workplace comedy set in the world of advertising. Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar star.
