Stevie Wonder to perform in New Orleans on eve of Super Bowl
Stevie Wonder, whose classic song “Superstition” is featured in a popular series of beer commercials, will take part in Super Bowl weekend activities in New Orleans.
The legendary singer and songwriter will headline an outdoor concert sponsored by Bud Light on Feb. 2, the night before the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens meet in Super Bowl XLVII at the Superdome.
Yep, the beer commercials are for Bud Light, where football fans across the nation are shown in particular garb demonstrating unusual behavior in hopes of helping their teams score points and pull out victories.
The Saturday night show, which will take place near the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel, will also include Texas blues guitarist Gary Clark Jr. as well as other performers.
Other concerts Super Bowl weekend include Justin Timberlake performing for the first time in four years during the invitation-only DirecTV “Super Saturday Night” concert.
Rapper Pitbull will also perform during another DirecTV event, the Celebrity Beach Bowl flag football game. Participants in the game will include Snoop Dogg and Neil Patrick Harris.
