Halle Berry’s ex, Gabriel Aubry, released after fight at her home

Halle Berry’s ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, was arrested Thursday after an alleged fight between him and Berry’s fiancé, Olivier Martinez, broke out at her home on Thanksgiving Day.

Police responded to a report of assault at Berry’s Hollywood Hills home after Aubry, a model, came to the house and got into a fistfight with Martinez, according to L.A. Now. Aubry, 37, and Martinez, a French actor, were both injured and taken to a hospital, where they were treated for injuries, the Examiner reports.

“There was an incident at Halle Berry’s residence earlier today. There was an altercation, and as a result, a party was injured and transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center,” LAPD Sgt. Mike Odle told the Daily News.

Martinez, 46, was reportedly taken to the hospital shortly after, TMZ reported. Police said that Aubry came to Berry’s house on Thanksgiving morning to drop off Nahla, his 4-year-old daughter with the “Cloud Atlas” star. That was when he and Martinez got into an altercation in which the two men were trash-talking in French, then came to blows, TMZ reported.

Aubry was booked on a misdemeanor investigation of battery charge, then released on $20,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 13.

A judge issued an emergency protective order that requires Aubry to stay at least 100 yards away from Berry, Martinez and Nahla until Dec. 3, the Examiner reported.

Aubry and Berry, 46, have been embroiled in a custody battle over Nahla for years. The two appeared in court on Nov. 9 regarding the case but did not comment on the hearing’s outcome, according to the Associated Press. The melee comes on the heels of the court ruling that Nahla could not move to France with Berry and Martinez because it could harm the girl’s close relationship with Aubry, the Daily News said.

Berry and Aubry met at a photo shoot in 2005 and broke up in 2010. She and Martinez met while filiming “Dark Tide” in mid-2010, shortly after Berry’s breakup with Aubry, and went public as a couple with Martinez in October of that year. The two announced their engagement last March.
