Taylor Swift fan ‘in awe’ that star surprised her at bridal shower

Taylor Swift proved over the weekend that she’s pretty darn committed to her superfans: The “Mine” singer reportedly stopped everything in order to fly to Ohio to make a surprise appearance at one lucky fan’s bridal shower.

Hey, if you invite them, they might come.

Swift first met “superfan” Gena Gabrielle at numerous meet-and-greet events beginning in 2007 and the country crooner was invited to Gabrielle’s bridal shower and wedding, E! News reported. Since the Grammy-winner couldn’t make the wedding, she said she was sure to pop in on the bridal shower to fete the bride-to-be with gifts.

On Saturday, Swift made a cameo during Seth Rogen’s “Saturday Night Live” monologue before jetting off to Columbus to drop in on Gabrielle’s party on Sunday. There she wore a seafoam green dress and celebrated the young bride, posed for a photo holding “Love” letters, met Gabrielle’s fiance Bryan and her bridesmaids, and took various selfies with other revelers.

“I had no idea it was going to happen,” Gabrielle said on the “Today” show. “[Taylor] said she planned it with her management and her mom. She said it was all worth it because my face was priceless.”

“It was a complete surprise,” Gabrielle added via Twitter. “She’s an incredible person and amazing friend.”

The bride also tweeted that Swift’s management told her “she didn’t have time and she said, ‘No, I’m going to Ohio. I can’t make the wedding and I promised her.’” She also clarified that Swift “didn’t crash the bridal shower.”

“Taylor didn’t crash the bridal shower she had an invitation ;) I’m really not that special and I’m still in awe she did this for me,” she wrote Monday.

The superfan posted numerous photos of Swift at the shower on Twitter and Instagram. One photo showed off kitchen wares from the avid baker, including a registry-staple KitchenAid mixer, baking pans, cookbook, several utensils and Le Creuset cookware (pots that she mistook for “lids”).

“@taylorswift13 thank you so much for everything,” she wrote, adding a photo of all her swag. “You went above & bring my wildest dreams. I can’t thank you enough.”

The bride added that Swift didn’t steal her thunder either.

“She really did stay back and watch me shine. So I’m takin this chance to say That I had the best day with you today,” she wrote, sharing a photo collage of Swift watching her open gifts next to a photo of them hugging.

This is the latest of the singer’s numerous displays of female solidarity following a litany of famous boyfriends. The singer, who’s written many notorious breakup songs, is said to have cut ties with bestie Selena Gomez after the “Come & Get It” crooner rekindled her romance with ex Justin Bieber, Us Weekly reported in March. She’s also been palling around with Grammy-winner Lorde, partying with “Modern Family” actress Sarah Hyland, having “girls nights” with “True Grit” alum Hailee Steinfeld and shopping with Victoria’s Secret model Cara Delevingne.
