Olivia Culpo, Tim Tebow have apparently stopped whatever it was they were doing — or not doing

Olivia Culpo and Tim Tebow are no longer A Thing. Actually, it sounds like they were never much of A Thing even when they supposedly were A Thing.

Based on a number of breakup reports, she just wasn’t that into him.

“He was really into her,” a source close to Culpo told the New York Daily News, which alleged a few days back that the two broke up because he wants to wait until marriage to have sex and she, well, doesn’t. “He was sending her love letters and cute notes and professing his love for her.

“She had to break up with him because she just couldn’t handle it.”

The former Miss USA, 23, started dating the occasional NFL quarterback-turned-broadcaster, 28, in September after meeting at church and being set up through mutual friends. That comes via US Weekly, which threw shade on the no-nookie breakup theory and instead explained that Culpo was too recently out of a long-term relationship to get into another one.

Especially with someone who sounds perhaps a bit too much hearts-and-kittens-and-too-much-too-soon. (Wait, did we say that out loud?)

Then again, TMZ reports that the two never dated at all and simply hung out a few times with mutual friends.

Of course, Culpo had been described as “heartbroken” in June after her split from Nick Jonas, who was wearing a purity ring when they got together but wasn’t by the time they broke up.

“Long distance is always tough, and dealing with that is always an interesting thing, but it’s all good. We’re both busy and young and enjoying life, so, it’s going well,” Jonas told ABC News two days before their breakup went public.

Then along came Tebow. Poor guy. Total deer in the headlights. It makes for a good story.

“She is very open to getting to know Tim and exploring the chance of something more with him,” a source told E! News in October, when what it called the “hot new couple” first made the news. “She is really attracted to Tim’s personality. They are having a great time with each other and are looking to spend more time once the football season slows down.”

Yeah, that sounds like they were really cutting loose. Oh, the passion. Hold us back. Or maybe wake us up. Or simply leave us alone, because football season is still in full swing.
