Kendall Jenner breaks Kim Kardashian’s Instagram record
Watch the throne! Kim Kardashian’s reign over Instagram’s most-liked photo appears to have ended, with half-sister Kendall Jenner breaking the photo-sharing app’s record for most-liked photo a little more than a year after the reality star set it.
Hey, at least they kept it in the family, right?
The 19-year-old’s artsy-coiffed selfie has garnered more than 2.48 million likes, while Kardashian’s Annie Leibovitz-shot wedding portrait fell behind it by nearly 15,000 double-taps at 2.47 million as of Friday afternoon.
“take that KimYe!” the globe-trotting model wrote, retweeting a photo splicing together the two record-breaking images.
Apparently, a closed-eyed Jenner with strategic heart-shaped locks is more appealing to the eyes than Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s first kiss as man and wife ...
The social-media savvy stars still have a gaping disparity in the Instagram followers department: Jenner has 29.6 million followers while Kardashian boasts 37.3 million followers.
Kardashian’s post-wedding snapshot previously broke Justin Bieber’s record for most-liked photo, which featured the pop star with on-again-off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez.
That pic has amassed about 1.7 million likes.
