Kardashian-West wedding photo nears 2 million ‘likes,’ breaks record

Love them or hate them, nearly 2 million people approve of the union between the reality star and the rapper.

A photo featuring the newlyweds’ first kiss as husband and wife in front of a wall of blooming flowers has broken the Instagram record for most liked photo on the photo-sharing site and has climbed to 1.99 million “likes” in just three days.

The image was posted by Kardashian, who has since added “West” to her online monikers, and features the pair in their Givenchy best on their May 24 wedding day. It bears no caption, save for an engagement ring emoji.

The previous record was held by Justin Bieber and his picture featured the “Baby” singer and on-and-off girlfriend Selena Gomez. That photo amassed more than 1.8 million likes since it was posted five months ago.

Yeah, it’s Kimye vs. Jelena with Kimye for the win. The world might be ending soon, we fear.

Kardashian, 32, who has a proclivity for scantily clad selfies and snapshots of her fashion and beauty exploits, has not posted another image as of press time Friday.

However, prior to the record-breaking picture, the former sex tape star shared another snapshot featuring herself and West walking down the aisle after the ceremony, simply captioned “Mr. and Mrs. Kanye West.”

Both images of North’s parents were also released earlier this week by E! Online, the entertainment website affiliated with the E! television network, which airs all things Kardashian, including the family’s hallmark show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

Kardashian’s extended family also documented the lavish week-long festivities on social media, which included a rehearsal dinner at the Palace of Versailles in France.

Unlike Kardashian’s 2011 nuptials to NBA player Kris Humphries, the reality star tweeted earlier this month that they will not be filming this wedding for her E! series.

Since saying “I do,” the couple has honeymooned throughout Ireland and touched down in Prague on Thursday, according to E! News.
