John Stamos reportedly in rehab for substance-abuse treatment
John Stamos is said to be in rehab for substance-abuse treatment, according to a report out Friday.
People said it had confirmed that the 51-year-old had checked himself into a residential program.
“We kindly ask for privacy,” Matt Polk, Stamos’ publicist, told The Times on Friday evening.
The “Full House” and “Necessary Roughness” actor was arrested June 12 in Beverly Hills on suspicion of DUI. A hearing in that case is scheduled for Sept. 11.
“Thanks to everyone for their love & support,” Stamos tweeted the day after the arrest. “I’m home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care.”
The night of the arrest, firefighters had taken him to a hospital for an unspecified medical condition, Beverly Hills Police Sgt. David Armour told L.A. Now at the time.
