Flavor Flav arrested on suspicion of DUI and a whole lot more in Vegas
Flavor Flav was arrested in Sin City on Thursday after an early morning traffic stop that played out more like a Vegas buffet: There was a taste of just about everything on the menu.
The misdemeanor allegations were flying faster than police said the rapper and reality star was driving, according to the Associated Press.
Flav -- real name William Jonathan Drayton Jr. -- was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, possessing less than an ounce of marijuana, having an open container of alcohol in his car, driving with a suspended license, having an invalid registration and (take a breath) going 73 mph in a 45 mph zone.
He’s made bail in the hours since the 12:30 a.m. arrest, the AP said.
In January 2014, the “Flavor of Love” star was arrested in New York on suspicion of speeding and driving with a suspended license on the way to his mother’s funeral. New York State Police said he was going 24 mph over the 55 mph speed limit at the time, and he was charged with with felony aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic violations, according to Pop & Hiss.
A “small amount” of marijuana was also found in his possession during that stop, New York police said, adding that Flav had 16 suspensions on his license.
He’s pleaded not guilty in that case, in which he faces up to four years behind bars, according to the AP.
