Reality star Evelyn Lozada, Dodgers’ Carl Crawford have a baby boy
Evelyn Lozada has another new man in her life: a brand new baby boy.
The “Basketball Wives” alum and her fiance, Carl Crawford of the Los Angeles Dodgers, welcomed their son, Carl Leo, on Saturday, according to People.
The little guy weighed in at 8 pounds, measured 21 inches long and got his name because Crawford “wanted his son to have every aspect of him, including his birth sign,” Lozada’s rep told the mag, adding that it was a fairly quick, natural birth.

The boutique owner also took to Twitter to share the happy news: “have EXCITING NEWS! Thank you God for my blessing!” Lozada tweeted, pointing readers to an OK! magazine story announcing the birth. The TV personality, who is already mother to 20-year-old daughter Shaniece, is a columnist for the gossip site.
Lozada, whose contentious divorce from NFL star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson made headlines in 2012, began dating Crawford that same year. When she made the baby announcement in November, Lozada did not immediately reveal the identity of the child’s father but reports squarely said that Johnson was not the dad.
The new couple announced their engagement in December with the outfielder popping the question on Christmas Day accompanied by a 14.5-carat sparkler.

“I’m overjoyed and in complete and utter shock!” the 38-year-old “Inner Circle” author told People at the time. “What a different year and a half it has been — I’m truly happy!”
So Lozada has dated a football player and is now with a baseball star. Why exactly was she on “Basketball Wives,” you ask? Well, she was engaged to NBA star Antoine Walker before the show started. Really, this VH1 reality series should have been called “Basketball Adjacent”...
