Reality star Evelyn Lozada engaged to Dodgers’ Carl Crawford
Evelyn Lozada of “Basketball Wives” is engaged to the Dodgers’ Carl Crawford.
The baseball star popped the question on Christmas Day.
The pregnant starlet made the announcement with an Instagram photo, simply captioning a picture of the enormous engagement ring on her finger with “YES!”

“I’m overjoyed and in complete and utter shock!” the 38-year-old told People. “What a different year and a half it has been — I’m truly happy!”
Lozada “wasn’t expecting a proposal at all,” her rep told the mag, but when the baseball star, 32, got down on one knee “it took Evelyn by surprise.”
Back in November, Lozada announced that she was pregnant but would not reveal the name of her second child’s father. In early December, she told “omg! Insider” that it was Crawford, who she began dating earlier this year, and that their child was due in late March.
“I definitely would get married again,” she added in the interview. “I still believe in love .… I’m not one of those people that’s like ‘we need to get engaged, we need to get married.’ No, absolutely not. I feel like that’s going to come, just like with the baby, let it come. I’m not forcing anything, so if it happens, it happens.”
And it did.
The boutique owner was previously engaged to NBA player Antoine Walker, which is what landed her as a star of the VH1 reality series “Basketball Wives.” Since then, she was linked to the NFL and “Dancing With the Stars” star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. But they infamously called it quits on their two-month marriage in September 2012 and entered into prolonged court proceedings following a domestic-violence dispute.
But let’s talk about the ring, which was designed by Jason of Beverly Hills.
The 14.5-carat sparkler features a 10-carat emerald cut center stone. It is valued at $1.4 million, according to the jeweler’s rep.
Her outfielder beau helped designed the ring and vetted 10 or 15 stones before picking one, jeweler Jason Arasheben told People.
Arasheben delivered the ring to Crawford in Arizona and said, “His face just lit up when he saw it. You could tell they’re very much in love. He was excited and nervous.”
Apparently, it did the trick, since Lozada indicated she was the “HappiestGirlInTheWorld” when she shared another grand photo of the bauble.
