Former ‘Bachelorette’ Ali Fedotowsky welcomes ‘beautiful and perfect’ baby girl with fiance Kevin Manno
Ali Fedotowsky and fiance Kevin Manno welcomed their first baby on Wednesday, a little ahead of schedule.
“You are absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way. @KevinManno & I love you more than we will ever be able to put in words” the new mom told her daughter, Molly Sullivan Manno, on Thursday on Instagram. “Thank you for making me a mommy.”
Manno marked the event similarly, with a photograph of the family of three posted on Twitter.
Fedotowsky, a “Bachelor” contestant who became “The Bachelorette” in the season that hit the air in January 2010, explained that her little one — who clocked in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces and measured 22 inches — was named after her and Manno’s late grandmothers Molly Fedotowsky and Eva Sullivan. Molly arrived a little more than a week before her July 14 due date.
“My belly has certainly dropped and my doctor feels confidant we won’t make it until 40 weeks,” the former E! News host wrote Tuesday on her blog as she posted pictures from Fourth of July that showed off her baby belly as she wore a bikini top. “Eeppp! I am so excited! I can’t imagine what it will feel like to see her and hold her for the first time!”
The new parents, who got engaged in September 2015, canceled a wedding in Mexico over concerns about the Zika virus and also nixed plans to marry in January in California because she wanted to cut loose on her big day, Fedotowsky said in a recent interview with the Knot.
“I want to be able to let loose and completely enjoy myself at my wedding,” she told the website. “I didn’t know how pregnancy would affect me, so I didn’t want to risk feeling crappy on my wedding day. It’s a good thing we didn’t get married then because I was so sick at the beginning of my pregnancy. It would have been a rough night for me.”
Fedotowsky was previously engaged to Roberto Martinez after he proposed on “The Bachelorette,” but they broke it off in November 2011. She and Manno met in Chicago through a mutual acquaintance and were friends before they started dating, she told Us Weekly last September.
