Eric Benet of R&B scene sells updated home in Encino
Eric Benet, the Grammy-nominated R&B and soul singer, and his wife, Manuela Testolini, have sold a home in Encino for $1.965 million.
The Mediterranean-style single-story house, built in 1956 and pristinely updated, sits behind walls and a gated driveway on nearly half an acre. The grounds include a saltwater swimming pool with a spa, a sports court, fruit trees, vegetable gardens and lawn.
Within the 4,300 square feet of living space are a formal entry, living, dining and family rooms, five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The master suite features a vaulted ceiling and French doors, which open to a patio.
Benet, 47, released his first solo album, “True to Myself,” in 1996. His latest Grammy nomination was in 2012 for his performance of “Sometimes I Cry,” which showcased his clear falsetto and emotive style. Benet, who has been on several episodes of “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” was once married to actress Halle Berry.
