Former Angel C.J. Wilson seeks $2.7 million for Corona del Mar home
Former Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson, who missed all of last season due to injury, is fielding offers on his home in Corona del Mar. He’s put the ocean-view house in the Spyglass Hill neighborhood up for sale for $2.699 million.
Built in 1976 and recently remodeled, the contemporary-style home features a fireplace in the living room, hardwood and marble floors and a wrap-around deck that faces the city lights and coastline. Whitewashed countertops and French maple cabinetry highlight the updated kitchen.
The master retreat — with two walk-in closets and a dressing area — opens to a private balcony. In all, there are five bedrooms and four bathrooms in approximately 3,400 square feet of interior space.
Outdoors, there’s extensive patio space and a swimming pool with a spa. A transparent guardrail provides a barrier at the edge of the hilltop lot.
Wilson bought property two years ago for $2.37 million, The Times previously reported.
Shervin Rafii of Keller Williams Realty holds the listing.
Wilson, 36, joined the Angels as a free agent in 2011 and compiled a 51-35 record across four seasons with the team. A two-time all-star, he is currently a free agent.
