‘Mission: Impossible’s’ Barbara Bain parts ways with home in Mid-Wilshire
Veteran television, theater and film actress Barbara Bain has sold her home in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles for $1.675 million.
The Spanish-style house, built in the 1920s and since updated, has a contemporary feel with dark wood and polished concrete floors, white walls and coffered ceilings.
Within more than 1,750 square feet of interior space are a living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room and an eat-in kitchen. The master suite — one of three bedrooms and two bathrooms — has French doors that open to the grounds.
Outside, tropical landscaping surrounds a swimming pool and spa. Elsewhere is a Zen-like waterfall feature and a detached guest house complete with a living area and second kitchen.
Bain bought the house seven years ago for $1.499 million, records show.
Judy Leach of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage was the listing agent. Karim Ghelani of Rodeo Realty represented the buyer.
Bain, 85, won a trio of Emmy Awards for her role as Cinnamon Carter in the “Mission: Impossible” television series. Among her other television credits is “Richard Diamond, Private Detective,” “Diagnosis: Murder” and “Space: 1999.”
This year she appeared in the film “Silver Skies” and the medical TV drama “Code Black.”
