‘Wolverine’ composer Marco Beltrami goes traditional in Pacific Palisades
Academy Award-nominated film composer Marco Beltrami, whose credits include “Hellboy,” “The Wolverine” and “Fantastic Four,” has bought a home in Pacific Palisades for $4.75 million.
Built in 2000, the two-story house on a corner lot has plenty of curb appeal. A black-hued gable roof creates visual contrast against crisp white siding and shutters. A white picket fence wraps around the front of the property.
Inside, traditional details continue in the living and dining rooms, which feature delicate molding and wainscoting. A chef’s kitchen with a Carrara marble-topped island, a den/media room, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms also lie within more than 3,500 square feet of living space.
Outdoors, tiered decking surrounds a rectangular swimming pool. Patios, a built-in barbecue and drought tolerant landscaping fill the fenced setting.
The house came to market in March for $5.375 million and was more recently listed at $4.995 million, records show.
Elisabeth Halsted of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties was the listing agent. Alexandra Pfeifer, also of Berkshire Hathaway, represented the buyer.
Beltrami, 50, received Oscar nominations for “3:10 to Yuma” and “The Hurt Locker.” This year he scored the films “Gods of Egypt,” “The Shallows” and “Ben-Hur.”
