Film editor Angus Wall goes big-budget for a Palisades Midcentury

Film editor Angus Wall has paid $6.5 million for a cinematic Midcentury Modern home in Pacific Palisades, records show.

Sitting on a two-parcel bluff overlooking the ocean, the scenic spot takes in panoramic ocean views.

Built in 1955, the roughly 2,800-square-foot house is highlighted by clean lines, exposed beams and wood accents. Floor-to-ceiling windows on both ends of the home brighten the living spaces with natural light.

At the heart of the home is a living room anchored by a stone fireplace. Nearby, the center-island kitchen retains its original appliances and banquets. A study, four bedrooms and four bathrooms complete the floor plan.

Outside, a covered patio runs the length of the exterior. Lawns and mature trees fill out the spacious yard.

The house was most recently listed for $6.735 million, records show.

Sara Clephane and Mike Deasy of Deasy/Penner & Partners were the listing agents. Cynthia Ambuehl of the Agency represented Wall.

Wall has two Academy Awards under his belt for his editing work on two David Fincher films: “The Social Network” (2010) and “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” (2011).
