All-Pro linebacker Ahmad Brooks gets above asking price for his San Jose home
Ahmad Brooks, who signed with the Green Bay Packers this season after a long tenure with the San Francisco 49ers, has found a buyer for his Mediterranean-style home after three months on the market.
The San Jose home sold for $2.18 million, a $185,000 bump up from the price tag he set in September.
Built in 1999, the five-bedroom home sits on roughly an acre.
Tile lines the open floor plan, and 4,029 square feet of interiors include formal living and dining rooms, a family room and a spacious kitchen with a center island. Large windows and French doors let light into the living spaces.
Outdoor amenities include a courtyard, landscaped lawn, built-in grill and a pool and spa. A trellis tops the spacious patio.
Records show Brooks bought the home for $1.57 million in 2012.
Rick Alva of Soto Real Estate & Investments held the listing. Sanjeev Gupta of Classic Realty & Mortgage represented the buyer.
An All-American in college, Brooks has enjoyed success in the NFL as well, recording 379 tackles and 55 sacks through 12 NFL seasons. He was elected to the Pro Bowl in 2013.
