Charlie Sheen’s guilty plea means no jail time

Charlie Sheen pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault Monday in Aspen, Colo., and was sentenced to 30 days in rehab, 30 days’ probation and 36 hours of anger management training.
And check out this jailhouse math: With credit for time served — Sheen had already gone through ‘preventative rehab’ — he’ll essentially check into Promises in Malibu within 30 days, then turn around and leave, says TMZ. The anger management classes are done as well.
Colorado prosecutors dropped a felony menacing charge and a criminal mischief charge in exchange for Sheen’s guilty plea on the misdemeanor assault. The charges stem from a Christmas Day 2009 dispute with his wife, Brooke Mueller, after which she told police that he’d threatened to kill her after she said she wanted a divorce and straddled her on a bed with one hand on her neck and the other hand holding a knife. He told police they’d argued, but he denied threatening her.
Mueller called 911 at 8:34 a.m. Dec. 25. Both parties had been drinking, with Sheen’s blood alcohol level testing at .04 and Mueller’s coming in at .13.
