The first Latina Disney princess is coming to Disneyland, Disney World and TV
Bienvenida, Princesa Elena! Disney's first Latina princess is about to make her parks debut.
Fans can meet Princesa Elena of Avalor, the future Disney Channel character, at Magic Kingdom park in Florida in August, and she will be at Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim this fall.
The animated show "Elena of Avalor" premieres on the Disney Channel this summer. Disney says Elena is the "first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures."
The premise finds the teenaged princess saving her kingdom from an evil sorceress, then being tasked with ruling it alongside some magical friends. The show is a spinoff of "Sofia the First," an animated series from Disney Junior.
