Some people call Steve Miller the space cowboy. Others just call him the gangster of love. The staple of classic rock music Steve Miller Band returns to The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel as part of the band’s 2015 summer tour. The picker, grinner, lover and sinner will be right at home in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 25.

Miller put his band together during the psychedelic heyday of San Francisco in the 1960s. Now the band has sold more than 40 million records during its 40-year career.

Steve Miller Band took classic hits such as “Jungle Love,” “Abracadabra,” “Take the Money and Run” and “Fly Like an Eagle” to the top of the charts.

Of course, the band’s song “The Joker” features a lot of self-referencing. That first lyric refers to the band’s song “Space Cowboy.” The second line nods at “Gangster of Love” and the third tips a hat to “Enter Maurice.”

The group recently released a live version of The Joker album to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original No. 1 studio album. Steve Miller Band also has two new studio albums — the 2010 number one blues album, “Bingo,” and its successor, “Let Your Hair Down.” The two mark the band’s first new works in 18 years.

Tickets start at $49.50 and go on sale on Friday, April 3.

Tickets: Hard Rock Hotel box office, (702) 693-5000 ext. 6914
