MGM raises parking fees for visitors and hotel guests at Las Vegas properties
MGM Resorts is again raising parking rates at its Las Vegas hotel-casinos. The increased prices went into effect Wednesday and apply to visitors as well as hotel guests.
At the company’s top-tier properties, expect to pay more than $21 to valet park for short stays of two hours or less. The 24-hour rate of $30 marks a 40% increase since June 2016.
MGM Resorts began the trend almost two years ago and it’s become widespread along the Strip: the elimination of most free self-parking after the first hour. Rates were then raised last April.
Here’s a property-by-property breakdown of what you can now expect to pay:
Aria, Bellagio and Vdara: Self-parking is free for the first hour, $9 for one to two hours, $15 for two to four hours, and $18 for four to 24 hours. Valet is $21 for up to two hours, $24 for two to four hours, and $30 for four to 24 hours.
Delano, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo and New York-New York: Self-parking is free for the first hour, $9 for one to two hours, $12 for two to four hours, and $15 for four to 24 hours. Valet is $16 for up to 2 hours, $18 for two to four hours, and $24 for four to 24 hours.

Circus Circus: Self-parking remains complimentary. Valet is $12 for up to 2 hours, $14 for two to four hours, and $16 for four to 24 hours.
Excalibur and Luxor: Self-parking is free for the first hour, $6 for one to two hours, $8 for two to four hours, and $10 for four to 24 hours. Valet is $12 for up to 2 hours, $14 for two to four hours, and $16 for four to 24 hours.
“Occasional parking rate adjustments are necessary as we fine-tune staffing, maintenance and equipment to meet guest expectations,” MGM Resorts said in a prepared statement.
However, valet parking remains free at the company’s Shoppes at Mandalay Place, located between Luxor and Mandalay Bay.
MGM Resorts’ biggest competitor along the Strip, Caesars Entertainment, started charging to park in December 2016. It now charges $18 to $20 per day for valet parking at its seven resorts on The Strip.
