Jackson Lake Lodge, Highway 89, Moran. (Grand Teton National Park); (307) 543-2811 or (800) 628-9988, https://www.gtlc.com. This park hotel is separated from the lake by wetlands, and you might hate the boxy brown exterior, but it’s hard to argue with the lake and mountain views from the lobby, terrace and half of the rooms. 385 rooms and neighboring cottages. Rates through Oct. 3: $224-$319 for most cottages and lodge rooms, suites $599-$775.
Hotel Terra Jackson Hole, 3335 W. Village Road, Teton Village; (307) 739-4000 or (800) 631-6281, https://www.hotelterrajacksonhole.com. Opened in 2008 and expanded in 2009 with lots of green features and luxe details, 123 rooms, spa on top floor, two restaurants below. Steps from the resort slopes. Summer rates usually $199-$329. Rates dip after mid-September.

WHERE TO EAT
Sweetwater, 85 King St., Jackson; (307) 733-3553, https://www.sweetwaterjackson.com. A log cabin eatery that’s been going since the mid-1970s. Entrees $17-$24.
Bubba’s Bar-B-Que Restaurant, 100 Flat Creek Drive, Jackson; (307) 733-2288, https://www.bubbasjh.com. Part of a small regional chain and popular with families for all three meals. Buttermilk on menu. Entrees about $8-$25.
Bunnery Bakery & Restaurant, 130 N. Cache, Jackson Hole; (307) 734-0075, https://www.bunnery.com. Omelets, burgers, pies, salmon Benedict and good house granola. This place gets packed at breakfast. Prices up to $10.50 (steak and eggs).
Café Genevieve, 135 E. Broadway, Jackson; 307-732-1910, https://www.genevievejh.com. Opened for the 2010 summer season in a 1910 cabin. Home cooking, includes fried green tomatoes and seared Idaho trout. Entrees $14-$20.
