Would you use this instead of an airline blanket on your next flight?
Sleep is the quest of travelers who take red-eye flights.
Now one company has come up with a hoodie wrap for travelers that offers a “soft, snuggly alternative” to blankets, which many airlines now charge for.
Betabrand sells the aptly named Red-Eye Wrap which has a built-in eye mask you can pull down as well as thumb-hole cuffs to keep your hands warm.
The cardigan-wrap made of a blend of polyester, rayon and spandex features zippered pockets to stow your important travel documents and valuables. It costs $115 and comes in teal, dark gray and light gray.
And yes, this wearable travel garb started out as a crowd-funded project. Betabrand sold out in April and again with restock orders in January. Current “pre-orders” are expected to arrive by early April.
The company started with a single product -- Travel Yoga Pants that go for $78 -- last June and now has expanded to 20 products, Chief Executive Chris Lindbland wrote via email.
