Mammoth celebrates early snow with 50% off season tickets. But hurry!
As if two inches of rain in Los Angeles wasn’t news enough, Mammoth got its first dusting of snow Tuesday.
“We received snow up on the mountain and rain in the village,” resident Cynthia Hayes said. “The mountain has been obscured all day, so I’m hoping we received more snow today.”
Is it the early signs of El Niño? For the resort, any sign is a good sign.
Because of Mammoth’s high elevation, El Niño years have a history of producing above-average snowfall, a Mammoth representative said. “Hopefully the early snow is an indication of things to come.”
Mammoth said a limited supply of 2015-16 lift tickets are 50% off on Tuesday only. Opening day at Mammoth is Nov. 11.
