Brazil: Photography tour in search of the elusive jaguar
Ciclismo Classico is offering a new wildlife photography tour of Brazil’s Pantanal Wilderness, which includes sections of the Amazon rainforest and the Brazilian savanna.
The nine-day tour offers participants up-close opportunities to photograph unusual animals such as howler monkeys, caiman, giant river otters, hyacinth macaws and toucans.
Other highlights include two full days devoted to searching for the elusive jaguar, a canoe tour of the Rio Clarinho and (maybe) fishing for piranha. Photographer Ossian Lindholm will offer on-site instruction and tips on technique.
Dates: Aug. 28-Sept. 7
Price: From $6,790 per person, double occupancy; single supplement $900. Includes transportation to and from Cuiabá, all accommodations at working plantations known as fazendas, meals, gratuities and local taxes. International airfare not included.
