National park photo ops: These Utah windows make nice frames
In Utah’s Arches National Park, the hike to North and South Windows is easy (stairways, dirt pathways from parking lots) and both windows make great frames.
In the morning, the South Window nicely frames Turret Arch. Bring lightweight gear and have some fun scrambling over the rocks and finding ways to frame other objects in the park.
Mornings are great here, while afternoon light creates some very high contrast shadows that can spark more creativity.
Use fellow hikers in the picture to remind the viewers how large these natural wonders really are.
Play with wide angle lenses here and perhaps stick around for the night sky. The long-exposure star pictures are great here.
