On foot and by barge in France’s Champagne region
Savor springtime in France’s rural Champagne region on a guided walking tour and barge trip offered by VBT.
Highlights include exploring medieval villages, including the hometown of the monk Dom Perignon, strolling Epernay’s Avenue de Champagne, and sampling the area’s Champagnes and brie cheeses.
History buffs will have an opportunity to explore Belleau Wood, site of the historic World War I battle.Walks average 31/2 to 6 miles, or about two to four hours a day. Optional pre- and post tour extensions to Paris also available.
