From $5 beer to $35,000 Champagne, here are the best places in Las Vegas to watch Super Bowl 50

Beer, betting and buffets. They’ll all be part of the Super Bowl 50 festivities planned along the Las Vegas Strip.

The first weekend in February draws huge crowds to Sin City as fans prepare to watch the biggest football game of the year in style — instead of on the living room sofa.

The fun begins Friday and won’t climax until the final whistle blows on Sunday. And in the city known as the Entertainment Capital of the World, the options seem endless.

Here are some of the choices for Vegas-bound football fans this weekend:

--Get the party started Friday evening while chowing down at SLS Las Vegas. Chef José Andrés will be hosting a Dine-N-Dash, during which guests will enjoy signature drinks and food dishes from all seven of the resort’s restaurants.

Andrés will be joined by celebrity chef Curtis Stone for a live cooking demonstration. Tickets start at $99.

--On Saturday evening, R&B recording artist Ne-Yo, a Las Vegas native, will have the crowd on its feet when he hosts the party at Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris. Pre-sale tickets are $30. Info: (702) 776-7770.

--People won’t just be spending money on cocktails. The Super Bowl is the biggest betting event of the year in Nevada. The Gaming Control Board reported that $116 million was wagered last year at the state’s 191 sports books.

Among those is the one at The Cosmopolitan. Its race and sports book is relocating this week to the casino floor. The new digs will include LED video walls that will switch on just in time for the big game.

--The other newly opened option is Beer Park at Paris. For $241, Super Bowl fans can purchase tickets for a viewing party that includes an open bar and unlimited munchies, such as bratwurst, nachos and soft pretzels.

--Sure, it’s the Super Bowl, not the World Series, but that won’t really matter to the fans who are expected to crowd the Pete Rose Sports Bar & Grill, across Las Vegas Boulevard from CityCenter. Beer and cocktails start at $5 on Sunday afternoon.

--The cocktails can be a lot pricier — think $10,000 — during the celebration at XS Nightclub at Wynn. The Ono cocktail includes high-end champagne and cognac blended with apricot puree, orange juice and rose extract.

--Next door at Encore, the Surrender nightclub will host a high-energy, high-style party. For $35,000, you and 19 of your closest friends can indulge in the “Hail Mary” package. --The action won’t all be on the field as the Marquee Dayclub Dome at The Cosmopolitan hosts its annual Q Bowl viewing party. Wristbands priced at $65 entitle guests to either an open bar or a buffet. The price for both is $125. Tickets can be purchased online.
