Rick Harrison of TV’s ‘Pawn Stars’ goes big with new Pawn Plaza in Las Vegas

Rick Harrison of TV’s “Pawn Stars” is expanding his brand of visitor attractions beyond the family-run shop in downtown Las Vegas.

Pawn Plaza, Harrison’s new strip mall, recently opened along Las Vegas Boulevard just south of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. The store sometimes draws thousands of visitors a day thanks to the popularity of the History Channel TV show filmed there.

Poutine — a uniquely Canadian dish of French fries slathered with various toppings — is now available at the Sin City outpost of Toronto-based Smoke’s Poutinerie.

The restaurant offers a 20% discount on Sundays and Mondays to guests who flash either a local gym membership card or, as a statement says, “those raging biceps.” If that requires further explanation, call (702) 823-4555.
