USC’s Tony Boselli to be inducted into College Football Hall of Fame
Tony Boselli, an All-American lineman at USC, will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in December, the National Football Foundation announced Thursday.
Boselli is part of a 16-member Hall of Fame class that includes 14 players and two coaches.
Boselli was an All-American for the Trojans in 1992 and 1994.
He was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the second overall pick in the 1995 NFL draft.
Boselli is the 40th Hall of Fame inductee with USC ties.
Other inductees this year include North Carolina defensive back Dre Bly, Purdue defensive tackle Dave Butz, Penn State linebacker Shane Conlan, Georgia Tech quarterback Joe Hamilton, Maine linebacker John Huard, Stanford running back Darrin Nelson, Louisiana Tech offensive lineman Willie Roaf and UCLA quarterback John Sciarra.
Also on the list are South Carolina receiver Sterling Sharpe, McNeese State cornerback Leonard Smith, Alabama linebacker Derrick Thomas, Texas Christian tailback LaDainian Tomlinson, Mississippi tight end Wesley Walls, Oregon coach Mike Bellotti and North Texas coach Jerry Moore.
