UCLA football: Bruins could get bowl game in Texas with win over USC
Texas is an increasingly likely destination for UCLA this bowl season — as long as the Bruins take care of USC on Saturday.
Officials from the Valero Alamo Bowl and Hyundai Sun Bowl have been at recent UCLA games and have expressed interest in the Bruins.
UCLA has never appeared in the Alamo Bowl. The Bruins have played in the Sun Bowl three times but have not been to El Paso since 2005. The Alamo Bowl is on Dec. 30 and the Sun Bowl on Dec. 31.
A loss to USC on Saturday could alter the situation. The Gildan New Mexico Bowl and Las Vegas Bowl would enter the picture. Both will be played Dec. 21.
UCLA is 8-3 overall and 5-3 in Pac-12 play.
