Packers’ Aaron Rodgers the big winner on ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers thrives under pressure on the field, and on “Celebrity Jeopardy!”.
The Packers signal-caller came away the big winner on Tuesday night’s celebrity edition of the quiz competition hosted by Alex Trebek, winning $50,000 for Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC Fund).
The two-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion answered questions about John Stockton, Alexander the Great, “Cheers” and Bruce Springsteen lyrics, but he couldn’t correctly answer the Final Jeopardy question about Harley-Davidson.
At one point during the show, Trebek threw down Rodgers’ signature championship belt move.
“Had a blast on @Jeopardy checking off another bucket list item. Should have said turd ferguson on final jeopardy though,” Rodgers tweeted after the show aired, channeling Norm Macdonald’s “Saturday Night Live” impression of Burt Reynolds appearing on “Celebrity Jeopardy!”.
Rodgers’ intelligence and decision making ability are rarely, if ever, questioned.
After two years at California, Rodgers scored a 35 out of 50 on the Wonderlic test given to draft prospects to determine their ability to process information. That score is among the highest by a quarterback.
Rodgers beat out Kevin O’Leary from “Shark Tank” and former astronaut Mark Kelly, who each received $10,000 for their respective charitable organizations.
