New England Patriots take a jab at NFL with Tom Brady photo
The first round of the NFL draft on Thursday only featured 31 picks because the New England Patriots were stripped of their first-round pick as a result of Deflategate.
Have the Patriots moved on since the NFL took away the pick? Minutes before the draft, the team posted a picture of Tom Brady’s jersey on Instagram.
No caption was needed to convey what the Patriots were trying to imply to the NFL.
Forfeiting their first-round pick is not the only punishment the Patriots must endure as a result of Deflategate. Earlier in the week, a federal appeals court reinstated Brady’s four-game suspension originally imposed in the case. Brady will serve that suspension at the beginning of the 2016 season.
