The private committee bidding to bring the 2024 Summer Olympics to Los Angeles will continue its social media campaign on Friday with an online Q&A featuring Chairman Casey Wasserman and former Olympic swimmer Janet Evans.

The public can watch the live stream and submit questions beginning at 9 a.m. at Facebook.com/LA2024.

The social media gathering follows on the heels of LA 2024’s use of geofilters on Snapchat. Wasserman has spearheaded the bid for more than a year and Evans is serving as vice chair.

LA 2024 is trying to position its city as the younger, hipper option to rivals in Paris, Rome and Budapest, Hungary.

The bidding process will continue through the summer of 2017, when the International Olympic Committee is scheduled to select a host.
